Our team of Kanttia2 Architects, Skanska and Settlementti Asunnot recived 2st place in the competition for the urban renewal of Hervanta. Today a large road cuts through the satellite city and emphasizes the difference between east and west. The aim of the competition was to

create a stronger urban center, and thereby connect the university and the residential area on each side of the road. The new sustainable buildings are going to create a stronger urban feeling in the scattered buildings that characterizes the satellite cities of the 70ies.
