MASU won a competition to densify and create urban development in the area now called Solvangcenter area in the urban housing area Urbanplanen in Amager, Copenhagen. The new buildings of aprox. 10,000 m2 comprises both low-cost housing for families and young people for the housing organisation 3B, as well as 1,500 m2 municipal functions.

Our team of PLH Architects, Primus Architects, HOLE&BJØRN, and Lemming&Eriksson chose a focus on the urban conditions, starting from basic qualities of urban spaces and housing. The proposal introduces brand new city structures and spaces to commence a physical and social transformation of an area with challenges.
