Not many places in Denmark feels truly wild, but here at Nørre Vorupøre, you get a sense of being in between nature and civilization. The old fishing village is located right in the center of Thy National Park – surrounded by the wild heath nature and facing the rough North Sea. A new nature center will be built as a part of a stepping stone strategy, and we are very excited to be working with Dorte Mandrup Architects on the competition....

We are excited to be a part of designing the next generation of hospitals in Hämeenlinna in the Kanta-Häme regional hospital district. Laakson Hospital was originally built as a tuberculosis hospital outside of Helsinki, with a focus on daylight, fresh are and view to the surrounding nature. As Helsinki expanded so did the hospital area, and today the hospital is an incoherent mix of buildings from different periods. We have designed masterplans of quite a few areas in Helsinki. The newest addition is at Lauttasaari, where we are creating a master plan of Heikkiläna Square. With the new metro stop, there is a possibility to densify Lauttasaari. Today the island is divided into two built areas – Lauttasaari and Vattuniemi. The new square will connect the two areas and form the heart of the neighborhood....

In small towns, the school is often the center of the local community. This is also the case in Slots Bjergby outside of Slagelse. We have been prequalified in the competition to further develop the school in order to gather locals in all ages.
