A few weeks ago, the courtyard renewal and climate adaptation project opened on Nattergalevej.

We gathered with HOFOR representatives, who co-financed the project, and the project leaders from Copenhagen Municipality. Also, the residents of Nattergalevej were invited to a guided walkabout with Eva through the new courtyard.

The courtyard’s narrow and very long areas have turned into a recreational parklike landscape, full of variety in planting and spatiality.

Between the winding ditches and rain-beds, niches and natural playgrounds have been established for the children, and the adjacent kindergarten institution has gained access to the area. Here there is room for a barbecue with friends or to sit down in the tall grass and enjoy the variety of plants, birds and insects that will thrive here.

For the last few years, we have been working on renovating housing courtyards such as Bernhard Bangs Allé, Beethovensvej, and  Classensgade, where we take advantage of the renewal to develop rainwater management in the yards.
