We are thrilled that we get to further develop our proposal for Tullikamari Square!

Our proposal got the public vote and the jury agrees; they highlight the proposal for its strong and holistic concept – The Square for being elegant and functional, and our brick paving for creating coherence and tying new and old together.

The Square is located in the city centre of Tampere. Already today the area has a vibrant atmosphere and is filled with cultural events. The old warehouses surrounding the square tell the story of Tampere’s industrial past. The new building completes the square and point into the future for Tampere. The existing square is transformed to support the urban life and many existing activities. Building and urban space continues the traditions and materiality of the existing and we are confident that this strategy will only emphasize the identity of this place.
