We are excited to have been pre-qualified in the competition for the renewal of Tullikamari square in Tampere, Finland. The square is surrounded by old warehouse buildings and already today the area has a vibrant atmosphere and is filled with cultural events.

The competition is a design for a new supplementary building that will close the square off from the busy road. Together with a new plan for the square and surrounding street it will support the urban life and the many activities already existing in the area.

We are very excited to get started on the competition together with our team of YH Kodit developers, with Schauman Architects, Schauman&Nordgren Architects, Rambøl, Sweco and artists team Grönlund – Nisunen, are one of the five team to participate in the competition.

At MASU Planning we love working with transformation projects, and the process of figuring out how to develop a certain atmosphere. Check out our winning proposal for the historical Arabia factory area in Helsinki. Another example is our renewal project for Hakaniemi Square in Helsinki or our Grønnegade Square project in Odense, where a new brick pavement continues the traditions of Odense but with a contemporary take.
