Living in a former planting nursery sounds like the dream right?

We are excited to participate in the competition to create a new master plan for this wild growing and abandoned area in Turku. The place has a unique character and many hidden gems – like old exotic trees. In the transformation from horticulture to housing, our approach is to preserve the natural heritage of the area and built upon the existing character.

We have teamed up with Harris-Kjisik Architects, and can’t wait to further explore the potential of the area!

We love working with transformation projects – it is so intriguing to see what can be derived from the sites history or a certain existing atmosphere.

An example of an earlier transformation project is Hennela, where a new military training field is transformed into a new sustainable neighborhood closely connected with the surrounding nature. Another example is our master plan of Koskela hospital area.
