A big welcome to Brontë Mutukistna and David Mehta – our new interns for spring/summer 2024.

Brontë has a bachelor’s degree in architecture and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in landscape architecture at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

“I have always been interested in all the things that take place outside the building. I enjoy landscape architecture because of its focus on context and place. Looking for an internship, I stumbled upon MASU Planning, and after some research I found that MASU Planning’s projects and vision really matched my interests,” says Brontë.

Her previous work experience includes “Re-Imagining the Stanley Park Seawall” – a research project using nature-based design to protect Vancouver from rising sea levels, conducted for the Parks and Recreational department of Vancouver.

In her spare time, Brontë enjoys hiking in the great outdoors.

David is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Waterloo in Cambridge, Canada. His interest in landscape architecture was awoken by a landscape architecture course that is part of the curriculum at the university.

“I had the pleasure of having an inspirational landscape architecture lecturer at our university last year—my eyes were completely opened to landscape architecture after that. When searching for an internship for this spring, a friend of mine that works at a Copenhagen based architectural firm suggested that I look at MASU Planning. I saw they aligned with my interests closely and applied!”  says David.

David has worked on the Canadian contribution for last year’s Venice Biennale exhibition, which focused on the Canadian housing crises. His previous work experience includes working at architectural companies in Amsterdam and Vancouver.

Originally from a ski town on the west coast of Canada, in his spare time, David loves to ski, hike, bike and do anything else outdoors with friends.
