Over an extended period, Solbjerg Cemetery will transform into a cemetery park. A citizens’ meeting was held on Thursday, November 4th, to discuss and debate the future of Solbjerg Cemetery.

Above 170 citizens attended the Citizens’ Meeting, where the project leader, Margrethe Holmberg, presented the strategy, visions and sketch proposals for the development plan.  Afterwards, there was a park walk with torches, bonfires and pop grains and a lively debate about the future of the park’s cemetery.

Our vision is to create a park based on the existing qualities and the place history, where some powerful interventions support an experience of peace and reflection. We are incredibly pleased with the participation and commitment to the meeting and excited to see how the project will continue to unfold.
