MASU has won the competition to prepare the upcoming masterplan for the new neighbourhood in Bagsværd

Masu Planning (lead consultant) and Cornelius Vöge architects submitted the winning proposal for “The new neighbourhood in Bagsværd” masterplan, an area of transformation in Gladsaxe municipality.

A vision of a sustainable new quarter

The project aims to create a sustainable and vibrant new neighbourhood that seamlessly integrates with the existing Bagsværd community. The masterplan includes the design of new community spaces centred around schools, daycare centres, and sports facilities. Aiming to promote community engagement and healthy living.

Two other proposals were submitted by COBE and EFFEKT. Among the three visions, MASU Planning’s masterplan stood out for its ability to bring forward the area’s landscape values. While strategically balancing the disposition of new functions.

The masterplan’s main grip effectively connects large park spaces and contributes positively to the development of the whole Bagsværd area. The approach provides a clear answer on how to connect the area’s green spaces and enables the development of a green and active centre that will be a major attraction for the city.
The project will include a three-track school, a children’s home and a sports facility focusing on indoor athletics. In addition, housing will be integrated into the area, ensuring that there is life in the neighbourhood throughout the day.

MASU Planning’s winning proposal promises to transform the area into a sustainable and active centre that will benefit the whole community. The team is thrilled to collaborate with Gladsaxe Municipality to develop the masterplan further and turn it into a reality.
