Renovation and revitalization at Motalavej

The residential area Motalavej in Slagelse, Denmark, is set to undergo a comprehensive transformation.

The aim is to make the area more attractive for existing residents, but also to attract new residents to add diversity to the area.

BoligKorsør is the client on the ambitious project which includes demolition of 164 homes, construction of 28 new terrace houses, and 146 new accessible homes. Additionally, 116 apartments will undergo total renovation.

The winning team consits of Jorton (General Contractor), AI arkitekter og ingeniører, MASU Planning with Friis Andersen Arkitekter, and BDO as client advisors for BoligKorsør.

The timeframe for the renovation project is 2024-2030.

MASU Planning are responsible for the revitalization of outdoor areas, which are intended to enhance the residents’ enjoyment of their surroundings. Furthermore, the ambition is also to attract external visitors, and hereby bring more life to Motalavej.

“The landscape project for Motalavej is exciting and crucial for the transformation of the area, providing an opportunity for cohesive identity creation. The project spans through three housing associations and is supported by the Danish infrastructure fund,”
