Katariina Väätänen is a master’s student in Landscape Architecture at Aalto University and will be working at our Helsinki office as a Junior Landscape Architect (MARK). She is finishing her last courses and starting her Diploma thesis about Nature-Based Solutions and Ecological Compensation in spatial planning.

Katariina completed her earlier studies in the Environmental Sciences program at the University of Helsinki, and her interest lies in the

intersection between ecology, nature conservation and design. She also enjoys creative tasks and doing them with her hands. In addition, Katariina has experience working at landscape architecture offices and construction sites.
